Tutbury Parish Council to assist with School Crossing Patrol

Due to budget cuts he Councty Council had placed a recruitment freeze for the position of the one remaining school Crossing Patrol person in the village. Richard Wakefield School appealed to the Parish Council to help as the safety of the children was at risk in the dark nights. The parish council have agreed to step in and fund the gap to secure the position and fund the recruitment for a temporary crossing patrol until the end of the academic year. The county Council are currently reviewing the provision across the county going forward in the next financial year.
