Tackling Dog Fouling: Join the Effort!

Published: July 16, 2024

Tutbury Parish Council is launching a new campaign to address the persistent issue of dog fouling in our community. As part of this initiative, you may have noticed signs sprayed on the pavements, and posters around the village  serving as a reminder for dog owners to clean up after their pets.

We want to remind all residents that failing to pick up after your dog can result in a fine of up to £1,000. To emphasize this, our councillors have been equipped with orange spray paint to mark the fouling spots. This not only highlights the problem but also alerts pedestrians to avoid the mess.

By making these areas more visible, we hope responsible dog owners will take notice and ensure they pick up after their pets. Our street cleaning contractor and councillors are working together to address this issue, but we need your help.

We urge our community to join us in keeping Tutbury clean and pleasant for everyone. Together, we can make a difference!
