Autumn/ Winter
2024 Parish
update
Earlier this year, the Parish Council launched a new initiative to
reach out to the community for their opinions on what matters
most to them, and also what elements of village life they would
like the Parish Council to focus their energy and efforts over the
coming months and years.
The feedback to the questionnaire was most helpful and the
number of responses received enabled a strong consensus to
be reached which in-turn helps to formulate a mandate.
Popular responses that were received were on the following themes:
Road safety

Keeping the public informed
Health & well-being.
This has been particularly helpful in shaping some of the work

that has been undertaken this year

County Highways.
Relaunching the Community Speed Watch group to tackle speeding concerns.

HEALTH AND WELL BEING INTIATIVES

The Parish Council now maintains the village defibrillators
and, with a £3,000 grant secured alongside the Tutbury
Practice Patient Forum, funded a new defibrillator for

Plans are in motion to introduce bleed kits at key locations
in the village.
